“Never fails us. Absolutely love coming here. Not been for about 18 months and it was fantastic as usual. Was here for my birthday lunch with friends. The quality of food is 100% the roast beetroot was amazing as always. At the moment they take your meat order on the carvery add roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding, carrots & beetroot. Then separately a selection of greens and gravy is brought to the table. Excellent customer service by the staff that actually look happy to be at work. All the Covid rules in place. £13.50 for a Sunday carvery is worth every penny though do pre-book as it’s always busy”.

“Being on holiday we visited the pub for the first time. We booked a table early at 6.30pm on a Friday evening but it was quiet so we hadn’t needed to. Hubbie had the chicken stir fry which he said was tasty and I had the venison casserole with creamy and smooth mash and cabbage. Both meals were good and it was nice to see something a little different on the menu”.
